Darryl is a shareholder in our Austin Office. His more than 20 years’ experience in construction and real estate law, both in transactional and litigation settings, is invaluable for school districts.

Darryl has an extensive background reviewing, negotiating, and enforcing construction and real estate contracts, including by litigation if necessary. He also has significant experience defending clients against claims involving construction and real estate matters. Darryl grew up around real estate and construction, with his father being a licensed real estate broker and custom home builder. Growing up, Darryl assisted on construction sites, helping his father with framing and trim work on custom home projects. His real-life experience has allowed Darryl to bring a practical approach to his advice to clients on real estate and construction projects.

Darryl graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Government (with high honors) in 1989 and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Texas at Austin in 1992. He is a current member of the City of Austin Board of Adjustment and has previously served on the Sponsorships Committee and the Legislative Committee of the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) Central Texas Chapter. He has also been active in the Oak Hill Association of Neighborhoods (OHAN), having served as a board member, vice-president, and president of that organization. He is an active member of Southwest Family Fellowship church in southwest Austin, where he volunteers in the worship band.

Darryl is a member of the State Bar of Texas Real Estate, Trust and Probate Section, Construction Law Section, and Litigation Section. He is admitted to practice law before the Federal Court in the Northern District of Texas.
