Sterling is an associate in our Austin office. He received
his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from The
University of Texas at Dallas and his Juris Doctor from Baylor
Law. Since joining our firm in 2010, Sterling has assisted
school districts in a wide range of real estate, construction, and
governance issues. He has also drafted several Preventive Law
Corner articles on TexasISD.com
While in law school, Sterling performed research for a school
attorney on special education matters. He was a member of The
Innocence Project of Texas, an organization of volunteers that is
dedicated to overturning wrongful criminal convictions. He also
completed an externship with Associate Judge George Holmes at the
Title IV-D Court in Waco, and made the Dean's List.
Sterling is admitted to practice in the United States District
Court for the Western District of Texas. He is a member of the
School Law and Construction Law sections of the Texas Bar, as well
as the National School Board Association's Council of School
Attorneys, the Texas Council of School Attorneys, and the Civil
Appellate section of the Austin Bar Association.
