School districts trust Eric to guide them in navigating their
way through vital business and employment matters. An
associate in our Austin office, Eric advises school administrators
and advocates on behalf of school districts in construction and
purchasing matters, as well interactions with other government
bodies. Eric has negotiated many multi-million dollar
construction contracts, as well as other large transactions.
Eric also delivers training to board members, administrators,
and other personnel in the areas of construction procurement and
administration, open meetings, and preventing illegal harassment in
the workplace.
Eric earned his law and undergraduate degrees from The
University of Texas at Austin. A 2003 Luna Scholar, Eric worked as
a legislative intern in the Texas Senate as an undergraduate and
while attending law school. Among his law school activities, Eric
also served as an associate editor of theTexas Hispanic Journal of
Law and Policy and worked on employment matters as part of the
Transnational Workers' Rights Clinic.
Eric is a member of Construction Law, School Law, and Appellate
Law sections of the State Bar, as well as the National School Board
Association's Council of School Attorneys, the Texas Council of
School Attorneys, the Austin Bar Association, and the Austin Young
Lawyers Association.
